B-Boy Brawl_logo_2000x1000

DUNDEE, UK – 26th NOVEMBER 2009

Scottish iPhone publisher and developer Tag Games is today pleased to announce that its first title in an exciting roadmap of third party games will be the awesome rhythm, action and battle game B-Boy Brawl.

A partnership with Mobile Pie, the hugely talented development studio based in the UK’s hip hop heartland of Bristol, will see this widely anticipated game unleashed on the App Store early in the New Year.

bbb_screen_01

bbb_screen_02

Paul Farley, Managing Director of Tag Games, said, “since we demonstrated how effective our marketing efforts could be with the launch of Car Jack Streets earlier in the year, the telephone hasn’t stopped ringing with iPhone developers interested in Tag publishing their content. Given our understanding and success in delivering games to the App Store it was therefore inevitable that we would eventually take the plunge into publishing external content. ”

He continues “We decided early on that we’d only want to publish games that reflect the style and attitude of our own content and when the team at Mobile Pie approached us with B-Boy Brawl we knew we had a great fit. I’m very excited by the prospect of the Tag and Mobile Pie teams working closely together to bring iPhone gamers a rhythm action game with originality, wit, style and of course some sweet hip hop tracks.”

bbb_screen_03

“We’re extremely excited to be partnering with Tag Games on B-Boy Brawl as they bring so much passion and a wealth of expertise to the party,” said Will Luton, Creative Producer at Mobile Pie. “We’ve put months of love into the game and with the tracks we have lined up it’s destined to shake up the iPhone gaming world!”

Due to be released late January 2010 B-Boy Brawl promises to make a mockery of other weak wristed iPhone music games. Aiming to own the streets (and of course the App Store) the game features a unique control method that allows players to ‘finger break’ for the first time, awesome street style visuals, various crews to ‘battle’ and loads of great hip hop.

SEED is in fact a “deluxe port” of an already existing mobile game. Take on a exciting journey on this breath-taking world, with each and every step will be fresh and memorable.

ScreenShot_1

Game Features
- There are 4 different weapon types to choose from, and together with the intense skill system,
you will shape your character as openly as you can.
- 22 unique towns, and 150 different battle fields around the world are ready for you to conquer.
Take ‘Ship’, or ‘Air Balloon’ to make the travel easier.
- Day and night changes in real-time. Some quests can only be done in the night, and your battle
experience changes from the day to the night.
- Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire are 4 major elements that affects your combat.
- Character’s appearance changes not just by equipping different armor, but the weapon you carry
also changes the appearance. This will be visually pleasing, but you may feel more attached to
your unique characters, too.
- Collect Rare items, and Set items. After a while, you will feel your collection will be something that you can be proud of.

ScreenShot_2

There is no sign of online multi-player game options from the game screen. I suppose they will add online playing features later on. This is usually the case for RPG games as they have plenty of graphics and game elements to work on for the developers themselves.

The game graphics are well down to the details. I can see nice drawings like trees and the shadings of the trees. The game has a wheel control for navigation on the left and the inventory and scrolls on the right hand side of the game screen.

ScreenShot_4

ScreenShot_5

ScreenShot_8

As like the other RPG games on the market, you have to go on different quests to obtain weapons or items. There are 50 main quests plus 100 optional quests to complete. Thus, in total, there are 150 over unique quests for the player to complete in the game.

As for weapons, you can use socket creation, equipment fortify and compounding to bring items to the Blacksmith to create special weapons. This is similar to the Diablo RPG game on PC.

ScreenShot_33

ScreenShot_34 ScreenShot_35

There are also different spells to use against different monsters.

ScreenShot_46

ScreenShot_47

There are different characters which you can choose in the game. I will think when you play with different characters, you get different special effects as shown in the below screenshots. Different characters will require the game to build up different skill sets as well as character attributes.

Hopefully, I can get a preview copy of this game to write more about the game to share with readers out there who are hardcore fans of RPG games. An adventure is waiting for me and I can hear the words of the adventure starts with “SEED”.

Chillingo’s Mission: Deep Sea has been submitted to Apple for approval on November 26 November 27, 2009

MultiShot1

Mission: Deep Sea is a game for iPhone & iPod touch, where you control a sea turtle to complete various missions, swimming in beautifully shaded 3d underwater world, using multi-touch technology.

The use of animals for military purposes is as old as the history of war. Mankind has used animals for transportation, communication,
offense and defense purposes. The use of animals during wars however, has extreme cases like guided missile pigeons, killer dolphins and fire-starter monkeys. During 1950s and 60s, the golden age of parapsychology, the CIA conducted experiments on animals.

MDSScreen1

During these researches of telepathic methods, the experiments to command animals with electromagnetic waves through implanted electrodes
were also conducted. Fortunately, direct usage of animals in wars is, now prohibited by animal rights.

Mission: Deep Sea takes place in the near future, where a neural-chip that enables the humans, command and feel the nervous system of primitive animals. In 2015, Snapstronics Incorporation’s n-chip, succeeds on reptiles due to their primitive brain structure. This provides a way to benefit from the perks of these, otherwise wild animals. The fitted n-chips, transports the nerve commands between partners, without interfering the autonomous systems like breathing and digestion. This way, the human partner with the pairing n-chip, is able to command to the muscular system of the animal, and feel what it feels like his own. Sea turtles, populated with the help of cloning technology, and no longer being an endangered specie, have been fitted with n-chips, to form
human-turtle partnerships, and these partners started to be tested for various noncombatant tasks like search & rescue and reconnaissance.

MDSScreen2

MDSScreen3

In the first episode of Mission: Deep Sea, we get introduced to our partner Buddy, the sea turtle, and practice swimming, during various missions. Later on, during a mission in an ancient sunken city, we find ourselves in a story, where we discover reliefs about sea monsters, and their connections to REMICONN, the underwater research station which was shutdown in 1970s, because of an experiment gone wrong.

MDSScreen4

MissionDeepSeaLargeIcon

The first episode of the series, do not have too many levels, but because of scoring against the time, and global high score tables, the high score challenge will keep you in these underwater race tracks. An empathic connection is built during our time with our partner loggerhead, and with hidden messages throughout the game, an environmental awareness is raised.

image

More importantly, a part of profits from this game is
decided to be donated for the protection and conservation of sea turtles around the world.
