iSmoothie App Review & Giveaway

mag

Recently, I tried a new drink called smoothie from my neighbourhood supermarket. It is called Magnolia Yogurt Smoothie. The taste is very heavenly. You might ask what exactly is a smoothie.

According to Wikipedia, a smoothie is a blended, chilled, sometimes sweet beverage made from fresh fruit or vegetables. The ingredients inside a smoothie consist of crushed ice, frozen fruit, honey or frozen yogurt.

There is an app I like to show you guys. It is called iSmoothie. It consists of 100 recipes of smoothies and how to make them at the comfort of your home.

There are a few ways to use this app. You can see all the smoothies grouped together under various “fruit” categories or you can search the type of smoothie drink you want using the “Smoothie”  icon at the bottom of the app or find the drink by alphabet.

smooth_alpha

After you found your smoothie drink, you can tap the star on the top right of the recipe to add to your favourite smoothie so that you don’t need to search for it the next time you need it. A grey star means it has not been added to favourites while a blue star means otherwise.

All your favourite smoothies can be found when tapping the “Favorites” icon at the bottom of the app. You can also search by the type of ingredients to know what kind of smoothie drink requires that ingredient.

smooth_random

Lastly, you can randomise your selection of smoothie drink of the day by using Randomize. This service lets the app pick for you a random smoothie to quench your thirst for the hot day.

What I like about this app:

1. The number of recipes keeps me overwhelmed. 100 recipes for the price of $1.99.

2. The search functions within the app makes it easier to manage my favourite smoothie drinks. The Randomize function is fun too.

Features which need improvements:

1. You can only edit and remove smoothie recipes but you are not able to add new recipes you found elsewhere from the Internet.

2. There are no pictures to show the delicious smoothies within the recipes page in the app.

3. Good to have a social network function where people from around the world can share their own smoothies recipes.

Functionality: 4/5
Ease of Use: 4/5
Value for Money: 5/5
Type of users Catered for: General Users
Overall: 4.4/5

Check out the app on iTunes here.

Note: I got 4 promo codes to give away for this wonderful app. The codes are for people who willing to review it on iTunes. Tell me why you deserve this app to win!

I deserve this app cause after i drink Magnolia Yogurt Smoothie for the first time. I find it so yummy and loving it. I wish to make it by myself but i have no knowledge of making a smoothie except that i tried to make Bubble Tea before and it became a success. I’m able to make my own Bubble Tea at home without going to a Bubble Tea shop.
