Amoroso Game Review

5 Apr

This game is about you controlling an angel to shoot and capture hearts. The angel’s bow will swing left and right and you have to aim to shoot the hearts. You need to shoot at red hearts in order to gain more points. The cold blue hearts are worth very little points and they will slow you down if you get them. You can also shoot at money bags and drag them towards your angel. Each object has a different value tied to it.

After that, you are prompted to buy items to aid you in the next level. You can use some of the items you bought when you are stuck in a level.

My impression of this game:

1. It gets repetitive – you play as the angel and you buy things. It will be good to have the couple go on a dating adventure and the cupid angel help in their dates – for example, if the guy does not buy flowers, he have to participate in a game to win flowers for his girlfriend.

2. The music is good. It is quite relaxing to hear. The graphics are well done too. I find the angel pulling in the hearts too slow. If you aim in the wrong direction, it takes a while to retract the arrow and re-aim again. By that time, it will be game over.

3. It is good to see the game rewards the player by leting him or her gain points to buy the items they want. This encourages the player as well as make the game more fun other than shooting at hearts.

4. This is a game definitely for gals or you can buy it for your sweetheart on valentines’ day. It is not a guys’ game.

Graphics: 5 /5
Sound/Music: 5/5
Fun: 3/5
Addictiveness: 3/5
Value for money: 4/5
Overall: 3.9 /5

Check out the game on iTunes for $1.99.
