iDrop Dead Game Review & Giveaway “Closed”

7 Oct

iDrop Dead is a casual game that has no real objective. You just need to throw the ragdoll and create as much damage to it as possible. Call this sadist but I will equate this to reliving your stress at work or your life.

There is no end screen in the game. If you create more damages, you will find yourself having higher scores which you will unlock more “pulls”, characters, blood colors, worlds and hidden secrets. Once your ragdoll drops to the ground, the number of remaining pulls will become zero and you can’t play with the ragdoll anymore. Thus, you need to keep your ragdoll in the air or rolling to somewhere else where it is receiving its “torture”. You can replay the level or return to the menu and choose another level to play with if you are tired of the existing level you are at. You will find you get different scores for taking off the head or complete dismemberment of the ragdoll. These will be added to the final score.

There will be a new version to this game as the developer told me their latest update was rejected because of the blood and bones appearing for the ragdoll. The new version will have flowers and candy  and it will be named “iDrop Dead: Flower Edition”. Here are some screens of the Flower Edition.

This flower version will be submitted to iTunes as version 1.3. The bloody version will stay on the iTunes unless iTunes delist it.

I got three promo codes for this bloody version. If you are interested, drop some feedback on what features you will like to see in the TO-DO list for future updates of this game. The TO-DO list from the developers for this game now reaches 70 items, big and small. This game will have lots of updates in the future so watch out for the new features, levels and new characters!

Graphics: 4.6 /5
Sound/Music: 4.7 / 5
Fun: 4.7 /5
Addictiveness: 4.7 /5
Value for money: 5 /5
Overall: 4.7 /5

I will like to see more challenging levels and more interesting characters in the iDrop Dead game.

Auto landscape and protrait mode should be added.

Add more cute-ness into the dead scene to pass the Apple examine 😛

I will like a feature where I can put a photo and use it to create the ragdoll. Or give the ragdoll a name. The, at the end of the level, show the photo back again with some blood splashes.

It would also be great if the player can plan the level (as a free-style level) to put the machines, weapons and obstacles to smash the ragdoll.

It would be great if this game could be used by shaking the ipod to move the doll around the screen. The more forceful the shift, the more violently the doll moves

I would like a feature when we can control the motion of the ragdoll by tilting iphone, this will make the game more interactive.

To make the game more challenging, maybe can add “blackholes” which the ragdoll should not fall into, else the game will end.

The last code has already expired but the developer says he will give me codes for the flower edition! I will make another contest till then.

There are no more codes for the bloody version since Apple refuse the update.
