Anna Montana version 1.1 is now released. This game is voted the hottest app by “Phone Apps Plus”. The new version has more characters, more houses with the current houses, more content, more awards and alternative endings.

This is what the game reviewers say about this game:

TouchMyApps – Nathan Wright

Anna Montana is part time management, part RPG, and part spot the difference. You will have to develop a good eye to do well in Anna Montana, but it is a small price to pay since the package is fun.

PocketGamer UK – Jon Jordan

Anna Montana is shaping up to be a good-looking package that offers something different to Sally’s Salon-style of time-based games on the App Store.

SlideToPlay – Andrew Podolsky

The unique concept makes Anna Montana one to consider, even if you hate doing housework in real life.

Sweet and Serious Reviews – iPhoneTech78

The satisfaction the game gets from playing the game besides having the high scores will be to look at the clean and nice rooms after you clean it. This satisfaction can never be compared with the scores you are getting!

How to play:

You start the game as Anna Montana, a desperate co-ed turned housekeeper, who tidies up houses at Glamour Lane, which belongs to some very diverse and eccentric individuals. You will need to pick up laundry and drop them off at an automated washer & dryer, pick up the scraps, vacuum the floor, clean and mop the rooms and do everyday household duties.

anna2

Successful completion requires following instructions given by the fussy home owners and completing multiple housekeeping tasks. The quicker you tidy up the houses, the more Glamour $$ you earn. Efficiency not only earns you a higher tip from these well-known stars but also additional elegant awards.

As the game progresses, Anna will be put in difficult positions of having to make moral decisions. With homeowners away, you may be tempted to steal valuable objects. Should you give into temptations, getting caught could result in some very criminal consequences.

As you tidy up, don’t get distracted by the plush surroundings – time, resource management, and strategy is the key to success on Glamour Lane!

To make the games for challenging, the developer may considering adding children that will constantly mess up the house again unless they are given some entertainment e.g. watching tv. The number of kids may increase as the game progress.

The developer may also consider having some owners that require Anna to run errands for them. Example includes fetching the children from school, buying groceries etc. This will make the game more interesing.

This game may benefit from being able to make an avatar that resembles a picture from the user’s photo library. In game options could include the ability to hire a sidekick so that Anna can share the work, allowing the user to multitask perhaps splitting the screen. Also regarding the buttons that allow the user to turn that the reviewer thought were too small how about replacing buttons with a swipe action towards the sides of the screen to switch rooms. Finally perhaps minigames such as washing the owner’s cat, or polishing the owners nails could net some extra glamour points.

Other Ideas (sorry hit enter too early) could include cooking the owner’s dinner, going to the laundromat to pick up the owner’s clothes’, or walking the owner’s pet.

Developer can also look at some challenging tasks outside of the house (to provide a different game environment) like Anna doing the groceries shopping in a supermarket – challenge against time and shop for owner’s essential groceries and earn extra glamour points. To make this more time/mind-challenging and interesting, developer can include various shops for Anna to select for buying different type of groceries.

For RPG game like this, it is always good to change the game environment to allow different game plays (like Grand Thef Auto). This will always provide surprises to the player and make them addicted to the game.

Developer can engage users in different ways. There can be different playing ways to the game. They can be in the form of time management games, spot the differences, finding hidden objects and action based games (think cooking mama). This way, the users can be involved in the game play in more than just one way.

Developers can also lock the houses unless they finish some time based challenges. This way, it engages the users more as the users will be more object oriented and will be determined to unlock the game for more challenges.

Anna can also be a baby sitter. She can take care of the baby and cleaning up the house. She has to ensure the baby does not cry. If not, the baby will mess up the place and create more havoc. If the baby does not cry, Anna will be entitled to more glamour points as a bonus.

Petes, groceries, meals, watering the plants (make sure they don’t die), fetching the children from schools can be part of the game as well. Since Anna can be tempted to steal items, Anna can also be careless and break items. She can then go to the “fake market” and replace the items she has broke and hope the owner does not find out. If the deed is found out, more points will be deducted.

It might be interesting to give each house owners a different personality. Eg. ‘a very busy office lady who don’t have enough time to do grocery shopping’. While playing the game and the user got some extra time. At that point, the game can ask the user to do something extra with that available time, and if the user choose to do grocery shopping, it would gain a lot of bonus points than cleaning the car garage
(Based on the answers of previous comments).

Include mini-games, like while cleaning the house, there is an rodent outbreak into the house, so the player need to go around the house to catch the rodents.

Wonder if there is an level system in the game, but as cliche as it is, the levels can be quite rewarding. As Anna go around the houses doing chores, she can gains exp points and later invest them into skill points. And to play at certain houses, there can be a level requirement – ‘need to be Level 6 to enter the stage’.

Another is to have another competing NPCs also trying to win against the player, to take away the jobs, and all aiming to become the best ‘service provider’ of the neighborhood. It is even possible have some showdown between the player and NPCs, and the one who lose will have to leave the neighborhood. And compete till the last one standing.

To enhance the player’s attachment to Anna Montana, Glamour $$ could be used to customize Anna Montana herself – buy different clothings, shoes, hairstyles, eye wear, accessories, etc.

Dressing differently may affect clients’ dispositions towards Anna Montana, affecting the tips she may get, time allowed for the task, level of penalty if caught stealing, etc. A client whose favorite color is red may favor Anna Montana for wearing red, or a nerd client may like Anna Montana more if she dresses like a studious gal, etc.

At the end of the video above, there is a line that says “a chance to meet your soul mate”. Is there a dating game within this game? If so, the dressing up feature will also come into play.

An alternative scoring system could track Anna’s finances and total up her earnings at the end of the game. In this way, you have to balance spending money and keeping the house keeping business profitable.

I would also like the pictures of the fully cleaned rooms to be stored in a Gallery for your viewing anytime. As a bonus, this Gallery can also provide a spot-the-difference game – select a room you have unlocked, and choose “play”, and you will be shown the room with some differences. You have to remember what the room looked like before (you will not be shown both).

It will be interesting if the developer can add variety into the game by adding some mini game puzzle with special award (which able to motivate the player) e.g the cup is broken and Anna need to attach it back which like jig saw puzzle.

if the developer can add in mini puzzle that’s not based on time frame it will be better because it will create a balance in the game. e.g top up the cup until certain height and you need to balance it by moving your iphone to the left / right.

orput some simple math / brain game. so parents dont have to worry if their children play this game because it has some educational value.

Extra tools that has special feature should be added which can be unlock with certain award achievement.

This all will enchant the playable of the game.

Put some playable movie in the menu. so that we can collect the different ending.

it might be more challenging if the developer can input more difficult task that require the player to handle some more challenging task rather then the few household chores that are already in the game. For example the employer require the player to do some cooking or do some shopping for them.

Some mini-games in the game would be a great idea too. The developer can also make it a multi-player game where by the players can challenge online to see who got the highest score or even who got the fastest time in completing all the tasks.

One more alternative is that the players can ‘design’ or ‘set’ the tasks that needed to be completed.
