Aliens need Brains Game Review

6 Sep

This game is a shooter type game where you wield one of the formidable guns and start to shoot aliens around you. The game makes use of iPhone 4’s gyro meter to tilt your position. This feature relieves the gamer of the task of the controlling his own position and he only needs to concentrates on shooting the aliens by pressing the fire button.  On the bottom left, you can see how many bullets your gun has and your character’s health. Each time you take down an alien, the system will say “Fantastic” to praise you.

There are different aliens to shoot after you pass each stage of the game. The game rewards the player by allowing him to use a new weapon in the next stage. At the same time, it warns the player that he has to face a new enemy and he needs to prepare himself for that. There are different strengths and weakness in each alien. You need to look in the manual to read up on them before you attack them.

The game also helps the player to have better aim by having the red marker line to pinpoint the enemies. The red line is only applicable for the Foozooka. The other weapons available in the game are Can Launcher, Blaster, Wave Cannon, Pulser, Mega Pulser and Freezer Cannon.

Overall, I enjoyed playing this game on my iPhone 4. However, you cannot switch to use different guns once you entered a stage or when you are out of bullets. You need to make full use of your bullets for the total kills. Once you run of bullets, it will be game over for you.

What attracts me in this game is the moving landscape when I tilt my position. It makes me feel I am shooting in a real-life environment. I hope I can switch to use different guns within each stage in the next game updates and have more aliens to shoot in the next updates.
