A moon for the Sky Game Review

28 Dec

I have played quite a few doodle jump games before. The first game I played on iPhone is doodle jump. The next game is mega jump. Both games are equally addictive.

However, the game I am going to talk about today is “A moon for the Sky” published by Bulky Pix. The game title is pretty interesting which actually means a moon reaching for the sky.

In the game, you play as a moon or a heart badge. You can customize the character under Profile in the game.

As you played and win more money in the game, you can even unlock new moons to use in your profile. There is the Shop where you can buy Lives or Moons using your game money.

The game will start by asking you the game mode you wish to play – “No limit” or “Adventure”.  In the adventure mode, you get to go pass every one stage in the game.

In the “No limit” game mode, you get to play continuously till you die. The moon avatar will die will fall off and it will be considered game over for you.

When the game is over, a spiritual man will appear and shakes his head with Indian music. I consider it sometimes frustrating to see him appear each time I lose the game.

Luckily, there are some game hints that will appear at the start of the game to advise you on how you should play the game to calm you down.

To play the game, you need to draw a line to catch the moon or your heart-shaped avatar so that it can bounce off to greater heights. The game system combines line drawing with jumping to make it interesting for the gamers. Sometimes, when you hit certain power-up bonuses, your avatar will grow bigger.

You will feel a sense of achievement when you see how high you have reached with your moon.

You might think this game is an average character jumping game but the fun part is actually how you do your line drawing to make the moon jump higher. I noticed that I can draw lines are certain angles to reflect the moon to bounce higher.

In the Adventure mode, you can choose which stage you want to play by tapping on the up and down arrows. Some of the worlds are locked because you have not cleared the previous stage.

Overall, I feel this game is quite addictive because it allows me to see different scenery when I jump higher with my character. The additional bonuses of having to buy more lives and customize my character is a plus. You can get more game money by buying the in-app purchases known as “BulkyCoins”.
