def_menu

Defcon 1 lets you play as one of the six fictional nations, each with their
own strengths and weaknesses.

Basically, the game will instruct you to tilt your idevice vertically.
Then you will tap various cross-hairs on the screen to predict where the missiles will land and your missiles will be fired in the direction of the cross-hairs.

When you tilt your idevice horizontally, you get to attack the nation on the land. You get to shoot many missiles from the sky to the land and there will
be the number of causalities displayed and how many souls lost.

The screams of the people dying gives me an eerie feeling when my missiles
hit the ground. It is very realistic to the point where you question is war really necessary for all the bloodshed?

def_upgrades

You can purchase offensive and defensive special weapons from Joe’s bullet shack. The offensive weapons include MIRV, Tomahawk missiles, Tony bunker buster, Bomber Wing air strike, orbital space laser and automatic targeting system. The defensive weapons consists of death blossom missile system, radar targeting system, AAA cannon (anti-aircraft artillery) and National party (revitalizes cities).

My impressions of the game:

1. There is no help included. I play around with the game to realize that I need to tilt vertically and horizontally. I was confused initially on whether I was attacking or defending. It will be great to have some tutorial in the main menu for new players.

2. The sounds and game play is great. It has alot of replay value. I like the
graphics of the missiles and when they collide. They look like blazing fireworks to me.

3. Currently, there is no network play over Wi-Fi or 3G. You can only play against your idevice. The developer said they are going to introduce this feature in the future updates so we have to wait and see.

Graphics: 5 /5

Overall: 4.6 /5
