Austin, Texas – January 6, 2011 – Pangea Software, one of the leading iPhone app developers, announces their product lineup for the new Mac App Store: Bugdom 2, Otto Matic, Pangea Arcade, Nanosaur 2, Enigmo, Enigmo 2, and Bracketeer.
“As we celebrate our 24th year of developing for Apple platforms, I am really excited to see the opening of the Mac App Store”, says Brian Greenstone, President of Pangea Software, “Apple changed the world two and a half years ago with the iPhone App Store, and I expect the same from the Mac store. This should really revitalize the Mac software industry.”
Bracketeer is Pangea’s only non-game offering on the new Mac App Store.
This application uses a technique called Enfusing which takes multiple exposures of a single image and merges them together to form High Dynamic Range (HDR) style results that look absolutely amazing. It is very similar to what the HDR feature on the iPhone 4 does, but with much more user control. Bracketeer sells for $29.99.
Nanosaur 2 is a 3D action-flying game where you pilot a time traveling pteradactyl from the future who is equipped with a jetpack and lots of powerful weaponry.
Along with a single-player Adventure mode, Nanosaur 2 also has three two-player modes including Battle, Capture-the-Eggs, and Race.
One other unique feature of Nanosaur 2 is that is has the ability to be played in stereo 3D with a pair of red-cyan anaglyph glasses. This gives a truly immersive experience as missiles and explosions seem to pop out of the screen at the player! Nanosaur 2 sells for $19.99.
Otto Matic is the largest game that Pangea Software has ever done, and in it humans are being abducted by the evil Brain Aliens, and a robot named Otto Matic must rescue them.
You’ll travel to amazing alien worlds and encounter all sorts of tasks to complete including riding a zip-line, battling giant mutant vegetables, and piloting a flying saucer.
Otto Matic also has an option to use 3D anaglyph glasses, and it sells for $19.99.
Bugdom 2 is another amazing action-adventure game, but in this game you play a grasshopper who explores the giant world around and in a house.
You battle lawn gnomes in the garden, surf down the sewer pipes, battle plastic army men in the playroom, and so much more. Like Nanosaur 2 and Otto Matic, Bugdom 2 can be played with 3D analyph glasses. Bugdom 2 is available for $19.95.
Pangea Arcade is Pangea Software’s most recent Mac game, and it is actually a collection of three different games: Warheads, Fireworms, and Nucleus.
Each of these mini-games is a modern interpretation of popular arcade classics, and they too can be played with 3D glasses. It is a visually stunning game with massive particle explosions and intense gameplay. Pangea Arcade sells for just $4.99.
Enigmo is Pangea’s award-winning physics based game where you use various bumpers and slides to direct the flow of falling liquids to solve puzzles. The iPhone version of Enigmo won the coveted Apple Design Award in 2008, and the Mac version comes complete with a built-in level editor so that users can create their own levels. Enigmo sells for just $14.99.
Enigmo 2 is a more advanced version of Enigmo. It has more puzzle pieces and game elements including plasma, gravetoids, and lasers.
Enigmo 2’s built-in level editor allows you to create and share your own levels. Enigmo 2 sells for $14.99.
All seven of these apps are now available on the Mac App Store, and free demo versions, trailers, and additional information can be found on Pangea’s web site at: www.pangeasoft.net
