Key gameplay update released for Dragons’ Den The Official Game on Apple devices

LONDON – 20th May 2011 – 2waytraffic, a global leader in the development, distribution and brand management of light entertainment, and DR Studios, an independent developer specializing in simulation entertainment experiences, have today released the first update for Dragons’ Den The Official Game, based on the hit reality TV show across Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.

Addressing directly the feedback received from players of Dragons’ Den The Official Game since its release, the update increases the length of each game from three inventions per round to five which not only adds an additional layer of strategy, but also more accurately reflects the average number of inventions featured in each episode of the television show. Also implemented in the update is a ‘Retire or Continue’ button at the end of every round, thus allowing gamers continuous play.

Marking the first time a game based on Dragons’ Den has been released on any mobile platform, you play as one of five virtual Dragons all with different skill sets, with each player being pitched five different products or services from aspiring computer controlled entrepreneurs. These are all based on real-life products or inventions, so players must decide whether or not to invest. Their aim is to choose a ‘Goldmine’ investment and avoid the ‘Flops’ with the overall goal to be the Dragon with the most profit after three rounds of investment.

Dragons’ Den The Official Game also features a multiplayer mode for up to five players. Each player takes turns to decide the investment while the computer AI randomly chooses the order of the Dragons. Each Dragon will then be prompted to take their turn deciding if they want to invest or not.

A colorful experience with the Rainbow mode

In this new mini-game Spoon, our starving hero must catch the food thrown by the “not so nice ones” to help Spoon consume a healthy meal. Kids must choose between various food items thrown by the “not so nice ones” to Spoon: vegetables, fruits, and a bit of proteins and must be cautious not to overfeed him with things that are not good for him, like sugars.

Kids will also be taken on new adventures with new objectives, they will find new objects to catalogue and will be able to unlock numerous bonuses.

Catch the Candy! An addictive physics puzzler!

‘Catch the Candy’, puts you in control of a hungry little fuzzy creature as he uses his extendible grappling tongue to hunt down his candy.  But it’s not so easy to reach, as he’s not able to move around on his own.  He’ll have to use his tongue to latch onto objects in each of the game’s 53 stages, to get close enough to the candy to draw it to him.

The “Fat Arse of the Law” has made his way to the App Store!  Developed in partnership with Straandlooper, today, Telltale games released Hector: Ep1 HD – We Negotiate with Terrorists on iPad which can be purchased from the App Store for £3.99/€5.49 ($6.99).  There is also a previously released PC and Mac version available to download for £8.75/ €9.99 ($9.99).

Hector is a tough-talking, soft-bellied British cop with an unhealthy taste for all things criminal or smothered in curry. When terrorists strike in the crime-ridden town of Clapper’s Wreake, this drunken lawman becomes the only hope for justice. Now, the flatulent detective has a choice to make: carry out the terrorist’s curiously altruistic demands, or watch as his fellow officers are picked off one by one. Hector is still on the fence.
