If you ever want to experience being superman without hurting yourself in the process, you can download Base Jumper game to try the experience on your iphone.

Base Jumper lets you experience parachuting in 3 scenarios – alpine, city and canyon. There is great music to accompany you when you are flying. Thus, you will not grow bored. Most of time, you will be concentrating on the directions to move your character in the air.

You can customise your jumper’s parachute, suit, helmet and smoke color. There are 1,800 combinations to choose from.

Basically, this game makes use of the iphone accelerometer to navigate your character through the skies. You just need to tilt and turn before you reach the landing area.

There are fiery rings in the sky. Your task is to fly through them to score  points but don’t bump into the cliff. For best experience, try to hold your device at 30 to 45 degree angle before starting the level. You need to hold your device as steady as possible to calibrate during the loading of the level.

Personally, I feel this is a great game to play if you never done parachuting before. During my flight at the three different environments, I have to take extreme care to avoid trees and boulders to protect my character from getting hurt before he reaches the landing point.

You need to get used to flying in the skies especially if it is the first time you are playing such a game. Of course, there are times when you will fail the mission before getting to the destination. This will depend on your flying skills. I hope in the next updates, the game will have online ranking boards to submit your scores as well as to compare who is the best at parachuting in this game!

Arcade iPong Game Review & Giveaway

A while ago, I reviewed buster boy. Now I am going to introduce another similar pang game. This game is called Arcade Ipong!

Basically, you play as the small spaceman that shoot the balls using the pointed arrow spring. You will have to destroy all the colored balls or objects that bounce around your area. If one of the balls hit you, you will bounce off the platform and lose a life.

You can get bonuses sometimes. For example, you can get a time bonus when you destroy some of the balls. This time bonus will make time stop as if you are Hiro Nakamura from the Heros TV series and you can shoot at the balls as they froze in time. Simply cool!

The game controls allow you to choose swipe controls at the left and right joystick at the bottom left or use the accelerometer as the control to move the spaceman. Personally, I feel using the accelerometer as controls  is hard to win in this game as the balls bounce up and down and the speed at which you tilt must match up to the balls movement. It is challenging but I prefer to use the swipe controls because I can better take counteractions against the bouncing balls.

This game features 5 different stages and 30 sub levels in total. It is worthwhile to get this game especially if you are a pang game addict. Somehow, I feel this game is nice due to the cartoon background at each level and the graphics make me feel like I am playing an arcade game on my iphone.

Air Sail Game Review

Readdle – the creator of ReaddleDocs have released a game called Air Sail.

Air Sail is unlike any other games. For those who played with small paper boats in the water when they are kids, they will find this game familar. Your job is to guide the small ship in the water through the pond with your breath or your finger taps.

The harder you blow into your microphone, the faster the ship will move in the water. Personally, I find the game entertaining but touch controls seems to fare badly in the game than the using your breath to control the ship. You can tilt your idevice left and right to control the ship directions.

There are 15 levels to play in this game. Along the way, your ship have to move to avoid lily pads, leaves, flowers and rocks which will slow your ship down. Once the time is up, your ship will break into pieces because it is only made of styrofoam. For those people who like unique games and using Ocarina to blow music, then maybe this game is for you. This game is great for kids I think as they will keep trying the game till they win. If you have a naughty nephew or niece, this game will calm them down.

There is also multiplayer mode where you can play this game with your friends over Wi-Fi network. By the time, you defeat your friend, your friend will be gasping for breath after playing this game! lol.

Ancient Frog Game Review

If there is one game which I need to quote from the iTunes App Store which lets you feel mother nature at work in your home. I will say that game is Ancient Frog.

Ancient Frog is an very original puzzle game. The puzzle is in the form of water drops or water foot marks on the leaf. You have to move your frog from one end of the screen to the other far end to eat that delicious fly.

The rules of the game is simple.

You can only move one leg at the time and only one foot can rest on a particular spot at the time.

My impressions of this game:

1. It lets me feel mother nature. The sounds of the jungle and the frog sounds are very original. The frog even blinks and moves like a real frog!

2. Sometimes, when I am stuck in a puzzle, I can reset the puzzle. Not all moves can win the game. This is what makes it unique. You can only stretch your frog’s leg to the closest water patch on the leaf.

3. There is no time limit in the game. However, there is a counter showing the number of moves you made as par. This is shown in the flower which is on the right side of the screen. Achieving the shortest par will require some adequate thinking on where to move your frog.

4. You can skip any puzzle at any time from the daisy menu and come back to it later.

This game features 100 levels, 6 species of frog, beautiful environment to play in with soothing jungle souns and lovely lighting to illuminate the footsteps that your frog needs to move.

Music Neon Game Review

Previously, I review Glow! on my review site.

Now I am going to introduce another amazing game called MusicNeon. This game lets you experience amazing visual and sound effects on your iphone or ipod touch.

The game itself is very easy to play. Your task is to rotate the neon tubes on the left and in the centre to form a path which connects the positive electrode on the left to the negative electrode on the right.

After they are connected, all the neon tubes will be destroyed in sparks and they will be replaced with new random neon tubes from above.

What I like about this game:

1. Each time I rotate the neon tubes, I will trigger a piano note. As the tubes are connected. the notes in the path will be replayed as one sweet-sounding piano lick with sparking neon lights. The longer the connected path, the better the music will sound!

2. The controls are great. In the main menu, I can swipe up and down to select the level I want to play. Quite innovative I will say. There are simple instructions which guide me about the controls before I begin playing Music Neon.

3. Each time, you complete a level, the neon tubes will be collected in your “neon box”. You can play the music notes after your neon box is full.

What I dislike about this game:

1. To be frank, for a price of $0.99 and I get to hear such nice music on my iphone while I play, I have nothing to complain about. This is simply the best game I ever played which can be compared to Glow!

Upsi Runner Game Review

Upsi Runner is a simple game for kids or adults.

The game lets you play as a snail. You have to guide the snail to the top of the screen dodging butterflies, bombs and monsters.

I find this game similar to Frogger. This game goes by horizontally instead of vertically which Frogger is based on. The game controls are pretty straightforward. You need to wait and tap and hold to the right or left depending on where you want your snail to go to.

You have to be quick to get the snail to the other end. Sometimes, I find I have to wait if I miss the timing. Timing is very important to get your snail across.

There are 3 difficulty levels in this game with 24 achievements to win and there is even an option for 2 Player race for head to head action.

Simple game but so much fun!

Bailout America Game Review & Promo Codes’ Contest

Bailout America is a lemmings-style game. The game lets you use Uncle Sam’s hat to get tools to help those Mister Taxpayer Dollars from running into oil fires, hospitals and tanks. There are 3 tools to choose from Uncle Sam’s hat – Axe, Bridge and Water Bucket. There are ten stages in total for this game, each with varied engaging in-game music.

The Axe is to destroy the buildings. The water bucket is to put out the oil fires and the bridge is to fill the gaps between the pathways so that the little dollar notes can walk over into the CEO Cat’s mouth. The game may seems to be ironic of the current economic crisis of saving the banks. If any of the dollar notes “die”, they will become crumpled notes which hinders the path. You have to touch the crumpled note to lift it up and flick it away. Once the obstacles are cleared, the money will move slowly towards the Cat. You can press and hold on the Cat to fast-forward the gameplay. At the end of the game, it will show how much money is in the CEO Cat’s Mouth.

This game is for casual play. If you like platform, lemmings-style games, then this game will be for you. I personally feel the game is abit repetitive. But for $0.99, it is a bargain buy especially it is on sale now. However, there are some some fun in using the 3 tools to help the money notes get across.

Tank-O-Box Game Review

Ever since I played crazy tanks, I am a fan of tank games. I am fortunate to know of a better tank game that is just released from the forums. This game is Tank-O-Box. This game is an arcade tank combat game where you operate a tank during intense battles which occurs in a box on an imaginary desk between amusing children sketches and office stationary.

Completing the mission won’t be simple as you think – the green tank have to battle against eight different types of tanks. You have to take advantage of the terrain each time at each different level to take cover and maneuver between the numerous obstacles before deciding to take your next shot at the enemies.

This game features outstanding 3D graphics and sound effects. There are 55 awe-inspiring game levels with addicting game play. The battleground consist of 30 types of terrain, four seasons; daylight and night effects.

What I like about this game:

1.  Before the next mission, the game gives a briefing about what to expect        before you begin the mission.

2. Each time when a tank explodes, there is smoke that surrounds the          casualty. The music is appropriate each time under different atmosphere. The music will change at each different level which gives the game some unique feeling at each level. There is also burning sounds when the buildings burn.

What I dislike about the game:

1. There is nothing I can complain about this game. If there is one thing I like to feedback, it will be the color of the controls. The controls are in brown which is very similar to the color of the battleground. Thus, it is sometimes hard to find the controls initially. However, once you get used to the game, using the controls can be child’s play to you. The circle button on the right represents the fire button while the left controls are the direction keys.

Overall, this game is certainly worth getting. For the price of $1.99, there are so many tanks to battle and 55 game levels!

Springball Game Review & Giveaway!

If you are a soccer fan and love playing football, you will not want to miss this game.

The purpose of this game is to keep the ball high and never let the ball hit the ground. In the game, you have to earn 6 stars to play the professional games. This makes the gamer keep on playing to get the levels unlocked. Quite a good strategy for a ball game!

The stars are awarded to the gamer if they meet certain goals of the game in each level like 5000 points, x30 speed bonus or 15 seconds multi.

There are three game modes for this game. Either you play shoot the ball through the hoops or you play the high line which is to hit the ball over your head to reach over the line to score points. The last game mode is to test your skills in the Pro Games. In this game, there are different balls for you to choose to juggle above your head. Isn’t that great?

The controls of the game are fine. I have no problem tilting and tapping within the game. To move your character around, you need to tilt your iphone or ipod touch. To shoot the ball, you just need to tap on your character. The hoops are actually brown rings where you hit the ball through. Once you hit the ball through, you gain some combo points.

The game features realistic ball movements and character physics. Sometimes, if I don’t catch the ball with my head, I can use my hands to keep the ball bouncing in the air although I know that is not within the game rules of soccer. The funny thing is my hands seems detached from my body. When I fail to keep the ball above the ground, my character will change his facial expression which I feel is fun. There is feedback like these which keeps me playing!

Overall, I feel it is a great game that is worth getting for the price of $1.99.

Puzzle Prism Game Review

Puzzle Prism is a block based puzzle game which is similar to tetris but the
blocks are in 3D. There are two ways to play this game. You can either choose standard or extra game mode.

To play this game, you need to select the blocks from the top right corner of the game and choose the direction of where to drop by using the left and right arrow keys at the bottom.

You can configure two types of controls in the game. Observe the controls at the bottom section of the game.

The Type-A keyboard controls let you have the direction keys situated together on the left and the down direction key to drop blocks is on the right.

The Type-B keyboard controls have the downwards direction key situated in the middle while the left and right key buttons are separated on the extreme ends.

It really depends which controls you are comfortable with. For myself, I prefer using the Type-A controls as it is much easier to use.

When the blocks connect, they will light up that connected block as white color and the rest of the blocks will be cleared if there is a chain reaction found below.

The Extra game mode is for advanced players. Your job is to fill and clear the layer continously and make sure the light block grows higher and not lower.

Overall, I feel the game has lots of potential within itself. The techno game music is played each time I tried the game and I enjoyed it very much.
